Exam Overview

This mock exam mirrors the real CLEP Introductory Psychology exam: 95 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes, delivered by computer. Every question has five options (A–E) with exactly one correct answer. The exam is 100% multiple choice — there is no essay, no numeric entry, and no calculator is needed or allowed (the few quantitative items use round numbers you can reason through mentally).

Scores are reported on the CLEP 20–80 scaled-score range. The American Council on Education (ACE) recommends granting credit at a scaled score of 50, which corresponds to roughly 50% correct on this practice set (see the Scaled Score Estimator at the end).

Blueprint — this mock reproduces the official College Board content weighting. Points were placed within each official range so the 95 items sum to 100%:
